Plymouth Park Campground

Russian Olive trees offer some shade, but summer months can be hot. The grounds are well kept with green grass, clean bathrooms, and a fun playground for the kids. The day use area is located nearby, about a mile away, keeping traffic through the campground minimal. The day-use area offers ample parking, restrooms, picnic tables, a swim beach, and shade trees Also nearby, and within walking or biking distance, is the Portage Route Trail–don’t forget your flashlight.

The campground is a loop of pull-through parking spots with nice pavement throughout. The paved loop provides a perfect place to bike, scooter, or skateboard throughout the day. The electric and water hooks up for trailers are nice, easy to get to, and in good working condition. There is a dump station at the campground as well.

Amenities
Each campsite has a fire ring, picnic table, electric and water hookups. The campground offers flush and pit toilets, showers, an RV dump station, and a playground. The day use area nearby offers a boat launch and swimming area.

Regulations
Pets must be kept on a 6 foot leash. There is a 14 day stay maximum per 30 day time period.

Wildlife Awareness
We are all so fortunate to recreate in the Blue Mountains and Walla Walla Valley. So many opportunities exist to play outside, whether in a national forest, wilderness area, or on a Wild and Scenic River. With these opportunities comes great responsibility to appreciate that we are mere visitors and should all take pride in being good stewards of the wild.

Many animals call these protected places home, including moose, elk, bear, cougar, bobcat, and snakes to name a few. Take precautions to respect their home and understand the appropriate response should an encounter occur.

Additionally, many plant species thrive in the Blue Mountains, so staying on trail is always good practice.

Carry First Aid supplies to better respond to accidents or encounters, and always let others know where the day’s adventure is taking you.
