Outside Walla Walla strives to showcase outdoor recreation activities across the Walla Walla valley and northern Blue Mountain region. All opportunities to do so overlay with the traditional Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla homelands.
We pay our respect to tribal elders both past and present and extend our respect to all Indigenous people today. We honor their stewardship of the land and ecosystem.
We encourage those who visit these lands to learn more about the place and people, such as through study of Čáw Pawá Láakni, They Are Not Forgotten: A Sahaptian Place Names Atlas.
