Conveniently located on the Snake River near Lyons Ferry State Park and Palouse Falls State Park, Starbuck/Lyons Ferry Marina KOA is a great home base for a wide variety of recreational opportunities. Amenities are plentiful offering just about everything you need for a pleasant stay.

Overview

WHAT TO DO

Camping

There are 46 sites suiting a number of users, such as tent, RV, and cabin rentals. Full hookups are available, which help during those hot summer days. Hopefully, however, your adventures involve taking advantage of the Snake or Palouse Rivers.

Consult the Lyons Ferry Marina KOA website for information.

Fishing

Trout, catfish, walleye and more are just a cast away (we wish). Fish from the dock or launch your boat into the Snake River. There is a $5 boat launch fee. Marmes Pond is located on the north side of the river just passed Lyons Ferry State Park. This pond is stocked seasonally with trout.

Fishing regulations are highly specific and based on location and species. Please always consult the latest information available from the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife

Kayak/ Paddleboard

Launch from the campground and enjoy a day on the Snake River, or make your way across the river to Lyons Ferry State Park and paddle on the Palouse River. As a hint, the Palouse is a tad warmer than the Snake River.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This KOA is unique and unlike many of the KOA campgrounds we have come across. There aren’t any swimming pools or arcade rooms. There is much more–access to fishing, water...

WHEN TO GO

The KOA is open year round; however, some services may not be available over winter. We recommend making a reservation early as this campground is well utilized.

HOW TO GET THERE

From Walla Walla, take HWY 125 north for three miles and turn left on Harvey Shaw Road. Follow Harvey Shaw Road for 42 miles and you will see the entrance on your left prior to reaching HWY 261.
