Murr Sports Park

This 0.75 mile path basically forms a figure eight. The first loop goes around the softball and baseball fields. The second loop borders the soccer fields and follows Yellowhawk Creek. A small section of it parallels city streets, but the trails are off the main road and fairly secluded by vegetation. Mostly used by walkers and joggers, the trail is also great for small kids learning to ride a bike or scooter.

Many folks walk their dogs around the park, so make sure to keep even the most well behaved pooch on a leash. Please pick up after your pet as these fields are heavily used by various sports. It is not fun going through soccer practice with a little extra between cleats.

If using before the sun is up or after it has gone down, know that there are no lights along the path. The section along the creek can be quite dark so bring a light source.

Amenities
The parking lot is quite large and rarely full even when sporting events are taking place. There is a water fountain in between the baseball and softball fields (may not be available in winter). A portable toilet is located in the parking lot on the east end of the park. Several benches are available along the route.

Regulations
Pets must be on a leash.
